October 2008 Edition

Couture Swallow completes Haute Doll's Couture Collection of Sybarites. Couture Savage was offered in 2006 and Couture Salon in 2007. Only 250 pieces of this beautiful fiery redhead will be offered, so get your order in soon.
I believe that Couture Swallow will emerge as the star of this high style trio. From her thin curved eyebrows, green eyes and sultry yellow eye shadow to the tiny details - yellow and red manicured nails - this is one haughty beauty. Berry lips and a naped bowle hairstyle with laser cut swallows add to the glamour and theme. The entire Couture Collection of Sybarites is over-the-top, but none so much as Couture Swallow with a custom sequins "winged" bolero and S&M inspired lingerie and boots. Superfrock will be offering a mohair and crystal twin set and the outfit "Mass," especially designed to complement Couture Swallow.
It is always a pleasure working with Charles Fegen and Desmond Lingard, and they never disappoint. We have many exciting exclusives - Sybaritic and not - in the works for 2009 as Charles and Des expand their collections beyond the Sybarite line. Stay tuned to Haute Doll as we bring unique product to our readers next year.
Sybarite lovers will find lots to cheer about in this issue. Michelle Blankenship brings seven new renderings of Pony and Moon in industrial strength couture starting on page 69 of this issue. WOW! Michelle has done it again with her exquisite photography. She promises to bring us more glorious photos in the November/December issue.
Are you ready to enjoy some newly released and future offerings in the Sybarite line? Turn to page 51 for a 10 page image fest.
Integrity Toys is a big part of what makes this issue special. Michael Williams has exquisitely photographed the Fashion Royalty glamour gals in Christopher Stoeckel's vintage-inspired fashions. Chris has reglammed the beauties with new hairstyles and facial enhancements. If that weren't enough, Michael created a special diorama that places the dolls in a perfect setting! Great job, guys! It is safe to say that many readers will drool over these eight pages.
Anthony Flores shares his collector's perspective and exquisite photographs of Integrity's Most Desired Eugenia and Lady Thriller Pierre. We welcome Anthony to this issue of Haute Doll and are happy to offer his story to readers starting on page 48. If you ordered the Lana Turner doll, you may have heard the dolls had a production delay. We expect the dolls to arrive in our office in October. We appreciate your patience and know you will find our exclusive Lana well worth the wait. Alain Tremblay from Integrity has taken photos of Lana with her new sculpt. Turn to pages 19-21 for a special preview.
For Gene and other 16-inch doll collectors, Mel Odom was kind enough to give us a sneak peek at the new Violet Waters sculpt and provide further insight into Gene's world. In addition, he shares photographs of the first renderings of Violet's best friend, Ivy "Vee" Jordan. Turn to page 76 to read about the "V" ladies!
The beauty of the Enchanted Doll Art dolls is absolutely staggering. If you are not familiar with these 13.5-inch slim ball joint dolls, turn to page 106 and meet Marina Bychkova, the young, talented artist behind these articulated beauties. Marina has made a childhood dream come true with her own line of dolls. If you think the dolls are gorgeous nude, wait until you see the detail of Marina's costumes.
BJD lovers will enjoy a special pattern by Zozo of Zolala. This fits slimmer, 16-inch BJD dolls like the 43cm U-Noa Sist and Lusis and Narae by Doll Fair International. With a monitoring of the jodhpur pants, they can probably be altered quite easily to fit the Ellowyne Wilde dolls as well. Zozo is extremely talented. She creates and sells hats as well as costumes. If you want a cap like the one shown in the pattern, she will probably make one for you for a fee,, of course! Visit her Web site at: http://www.zolala.nl/
You are really going to enjoy this issue's installment of Space Force---my favorite episode so far. /the Narae kids meet The Mouse at Merryland! Too cute, Helen and Michael!
I hope you are enjoying the end of the summer and still finding time to enjoy your dolls! Stay tuned for the best fashion doll collecting on the pages of Haute Doll!
